Really cute little spot, felt very safe. Caretaker comes in the evenings & mornings, they were super friendly! $35 per site for unpowered or $40 per site for powered (two of us). Kitchen was fully stocked and had a water boiler too, which was perfect for my hot water bottle. Toilets and showers are definitely dated, but very clean and water was hot (and included in the price) Laundry was $3 per load, no dryer. You choose your spot on the map and make sure no ones name is written down for there.

Stunning views of the sea and beach. One of our favourite campsites we’ve stayed in due to this. We had a lovely walk along the beach in the evening and watched the sunrise the next day. Friendly lady taking bookings, felt very relaxed. Bathroom facilities quite basic but clean.

Beautiful campground right at the beach- surf spot when swell is good. Full equipped kitchen and very nice caretaker. One of the best spots during our travel!

Μια γεύση της Νέας Ζηλανδίας . Μεγάλη θέση .Κατεψυγμένο και χαλαρό. Ξυπνήστε νωρίς καλέστε cortesy του κοκτέιλ. Όμορφο ηλιοβασίλεμα στην παραλία. Έχει μια ατμόσφαιρα surf spot. Βασικές ανέσεις αλλά καθαρό . ( πραγματικά εξαρτάται από το τι στοχεύετε και να περιμένετε) .Σε γενικές γραμμές ένας πολύ καλός τρόπος για να περάσετε την τελευταία μας νύχτα στη Νέα Υόρκη πριν πάτε σπίτι.

Σπασμένο μικρό χώρο, βασικό αλλά όλα όσα χρειάζεστε, καθαρό μπλοκ ντους / τουαλέτας, καθαρή κουζίνα και το καλύτερο κομμάτι του δεξιά στην παραλία.Κάποιος είπε ότι δεν WiFi / 4g αλλά είχαμε εξαιρετική κάλυψη 4G, έκανε μια εξαιρετική στάση χθες το βράδυ των εκπληκτικών 3 εβδομάδων μας στη Νέα Υόρκη.

Such a nice camping place! Rather small, so either book in advance or come early. 35 $ for 1-2 persons in a campervan without electricity: cheap for an access to all facilities, all clean. Direct access to a large and lovely beach with great views to the ocean. No wifi. Tel signal. No sand flies!

I imagine this camp would be beautiful on a sunny day, Gore bay is a tiny little beach village with beautiful sea views ( more direct views in Main camp than Buxton). Quiet camp with good facilities. Lovely warm shower (plenty of time despite the timer). $40 for a powered site for 2 people, worth it and would visit again if travelling North from Christchurch to break up our drive.
