The camp is closed, tracks as well and view from Rangiaukaha trig overgrown BUT saw a few very curious kiwibirds after dusk and before dawn right on the camp road!

Πολύ άνεμος και μερικά σκληρά πλυντήρια για να προσέξετε στις άκρες- αλλά μια όμορφη οδήγηση μέσα από το δάσος, αν και πιθανότατα δεν είναι μεγάλη τη νύχτα ή σε κακές καιρικές συνθήκες. Πλησιάζοντας, προσέξτε για τους ψαράδες και τους οδηγούς λεωφορείων που πηγαίνουν σπίτι. τους αρέσει να κόβουν γωνίες! Καμπίνα ήταν αρκετά ήσυχη όταν ήμασταν εδώ.

Καλό μέγεθος και καλά οργανωμένη με αριθμημένα οικόπεδα, οπότε αν κάνετε κράτηση είστε βέβαιοι να έχετε αρκετό χώρο.Πολλές οικογένειες απλά ψύχονται, κακή τηλεφωνικό σήμα, πολλές καθαρές τουαλέτες και κρύα ντους, θα συνιστούσα ιδιαίτερα, μεγάλη αξία και μεγάλη loxarion

Very pleasant campsite, $15 per person with the possibility of paying online or at the entrance if you arrive during office hours. Cold shower but rather pleasant because in a wooden cabin. Well-maintained dry toilets. No drinking water, taps available but no possibility of washing dishes. Very pretty spot, silent even if very busy. Good telephone reception. Online reservation recommended!

Lovely beach front sites. Good signal and basic doc facilities. The beach is quite rocky and tidal however but there is a lovely outlook of the bay from the campsite

Ίσως το πιο όμορφο κάμπινγκ που έχω μείνει ποτέ, πολύ ήσυχο, τόσα πολλά υπέροχα πουλιά για να παρακολουθήσετε, όμορφη θάλασσα για να κολυμπήσετε.

Η προοπτική είναι πραγματικά πολύ όμορφη, αλλά αλλιώς ήταν κάτι απογοητευτικό. Κανένα πόσιμο νερό, μόνο κρύο ντους, κανένα κρεβάτι με πλύσιμο, αλλά μόνο με πτώση και αυτές τις νύχτες πολέμου δεν φωτίζεται.

A very nice campsite in a beautiful location. We stopped for one night and could easily have stayed longer to relax if we had more time. Campsite was quite full with NZ fa milies making up most of the campers, a good chance to meet some locals. Even with the kids playing it was very chill. Recommend the hike, we saw a lovely sunrise from the trig point. Worthwhile and no freedom sites nearby anyway.

We just spent 4 nights here, we were on site 84, away from everyone else which was great, just needed to use the levellers. Such a stunning spot. Toilets and inside cold showers, not as nice as Otamure Bay. Didn’t see any kiwis but did hear them. We did the Whangaruru North Head Track too which was great! Only downside was the host I’m afraid. We pulled up at 12:00, check-in is from 14:00, but our campsite was completely free of anyone, completely dry, yet she made us wait the 2 hours in the carpark, in the sun, literally staring at our campsite. Now we have ran a Holiday Park and worked at DOC campsites, there are rules of course, but you can also be human! Ya know! Such a difference to other DOC hosts we’ve met.
