Paronella Park is not just about the Mena Creek Falls as was suggested earlier. We stayed the night, did the night tour and the day tour and actually hung out on the property all day and it was just beautiful and very inspiring. Even my 6 year old could connect with and understand the vision and strength that this place represented. A Spaniard who fell in love with the area worked a decade to save the money to to buy the land and build a dream with his own hands. In the 1930s he build the only privately owned hydro electric plant powering his property, he built a castle, tennis courts, change rooms, water flushing toilets, a cafe and an ice creamery and movie theatre. He created a magical space and was so in love with the falls that he made sure you could see them from every angle. This man carried the sand for the construction of the cement up the steep 47 stairs, bucket for bucket. Just inspiring connecting to all the stories of how that property was created by having a dream and given that dream everything. Definitely worth coming to visit. The camping is free when you book a tour too!!! The family who now owns this and works hard at restoring it is maintaining the ethos of dreams and is so open and approachable and lovely. We loved our stay and would come back.
$47 entry into the park and includes 1 night in the campground for free. Campground is small and sites are close together but amenities are spotless and staff are amazing. Paronella Park is absolutely beautiful.
Beautiful place with a nice story behind it. The costs for students amount to 41 AUD / person incl. Overnight stay in Caravan Park, powered. We participated in one of the 45-minute guided tours with Luke. Has been very worthwhile. The area is great, in the afternoon the light is very nice. There is also an evening tour starting at 6.15 pm, where everything is lit up with colorful lights. Caravan place not very big, but quite adequate. BBQ spot available with kettle and toaster, showers and toilets clean.
Magical. Worth every penny. Night in caravan park included. One of the best saw in Australia. Very very highly recommended. Staff is very nice and helpful, guides are awesome and the story is amazing. Free wifi, very good amenities, free got showers. WONDERFUL !
Paranella park is magical.Amazing, greeted with a free night camping on a powered site, everything clean. Then a day tour and night tour of the magical castle, the grounds are stunning with another waterfall in side the park, the history is just out of this world, the night tour is a must see, just so stunned at this place
Don't think the park (Paronella Park) is worth the money. You can see big parts of the "castle" from the bridge (which is public, and free) and the waterfall you can see from here too. I think paying over $80 for 2p is too much.
