We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here. You get what you pay for. Super clean bathrooms and cosy kitchen/dining areas! A big thank you to cleaning staff. Excellent facilities overall. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Walking distance to visitor centre and the wonders of Cradle Mountain!
The park is on the pricier side ($80) for a powered site, but you get what you pay for! Amazing and new amenities, hot showers and clean toilets. Laundry facilities are your average at $4-$5 per load (washing/drying) although the dryers weren’t amazing… the kitchen facilities are huge, in a wide open area with stove tops, pizza ovens, picnic tables, and so much more! And also the sites are well spaced out between one another!
Absolute best camp site we stayed at. New toilet and shower block with kitchen and lounge is great. Bush location was nice, we were there for Xmas and although busy we felt like we had heaps of space (premium site) and it was very tranquil. Site shop was very well appointed and location across from visitors centre where you catch the shuttle was very convenient.
Quite expensive 80 dollars / one night for unpowered spot but worth it. Nice firewood living room and wallabies everywhere 😍. We enjoyed a lot our stay. Just one thing: mind when sitting on the bench in the living room as bench screws armed my partner. 😕
Well, it was the most expensive site of our trip but there is no alternative... So if you want to stay several nights in Cradle mountain and don't want to drive in and out that's the only way. Amenities brand new and clean, sites are gravel and quite big and you have trees and bushes on either side, so a lot of privacy. Reception has a shop with groceries, coffee and snacks, beer, wine. You can walk to the visitor centre and the free shuttle into the park. Wallabies in the evening.
Arrived last night and the park is closed.
Overall a very nice Campsite embedded in the Forrest with all the amenities you need, well maintained + good privacy, well equipped camp kitchen with fireplaces, easy after-hours check-in, clean showers and toilets - distance to bathrooms from some sites
Quite expensive but definitely worth it. Great bathrooms with hot showers Great camper van sites - well spaced and private. Lovely reception staff. Very happy!
Very popular and can get quite busy during peak season. Perfect location just right next to the entrance of the national park. 55 dollars / night for unpowered site during Xmas holidays, booked in advance as it gets full quickly. Clean toilets and showers (hot water for free), very spacious indoor kitchen area with stoves and bbqs (more bbqs outside as well as pizza ovens). Need to boil the water before drinking the water from the tap.
Perfect location and nicely set up. However there’s no drinking water even in the kitchen area, so it advises boiling the water before drinking. Can’t imagine it would be hard to install a filter, particularly with the price of the campsite. Would make a huge difference to everyone’s stay
