What a nice place. Welcoming. Cosy. Clean. Camille arranges us to find a bed, even if it was late. Beds are very comfortable, there are sheets and blankets. We spent a really nice evening. Go there, eyes closed!
The guy on the desk told me its no BBH hostel. So much too expensive
Spent an awesome 2 nights here! Definitely recommend the glow worm walk and the kayak tour that the owner does. Its a gorgeous river and a must do for hobbit fans :) as far as the lodge itself goes, its well kept and clean with a nice kitchen and plenty of space :)
Stayed here for 2 nights Xmas day and Boxing Day. We were in one of the double room cabin type rooms outside. Nice stay, but road noise is loud and also every other noise outside the building including the front gate which attaches onto the metal building and creates a bit of rattling inside sadly, but fine if you aren't bothered about sleeping in... Maybe best to ask for a room in the house or away from the road. Free wifi was good, kitchen and shared bathrooms clean and well kept. The owners kids are around and we did get hit with a water sprayer a few times while having a quiet read, but nothing too awful and overall had a nice stopover.

Bluemoon Lodge has generally positive reviews. The reviews praise the welcoming atmosphere, coziness, cleanliness, and comfort of the accommodation. The reviewer who stayed on February 17, 2020, mentioned that Camille was very helpful in finding a bed even though it was late. The reviewer who stayed on January 18, 2015, enjoyed the glow worm walk and kayak tour offered by the owner and appreciated the well-kept and clean kitchen and space.
However, there is one negative review from September 3, 2018, where the reviewer was misinformed about the type of accommodation (BBH hostel) and considered it overpriced. Another reviewer who stayed over Christmas 2014 mentioned some drawbacks such as road noise and disturbance from other guests, but overall, they had a nice stay.
To future guests, one reviewer suggests booking a room in the house or away from the road to minimize noise. Another reviewer recommends the glow worm walk and kayak tour. Overall, Bluemoon Lodge appears to be a pleasant place to stay with some minor drawbacks that can be mitigated with a little planning.
