We brought our own Stones and they helped us making earrings. Very nice people. Good idea on a rainy day.
Brilliant experience with warm and passionate people! Making your necklace with your own stones is the most beautiful souvenir you could bring back from NZ and what's more, the experience will stay with you for a very long time, no bad puns intended! 😊 Highly recommend!!!
Awesome place and people! They helped us identify the stones we found and gave loads of helpful advice. Encouraged us to keep looking until we finally found some greenstone on the beach! We didn’t sign up to do the workshop but they certainly know their stuff so highly recommended :) Thank you all
Best place for a great experience! Nice people who will help you make the best of your own talents. I carved a piece of pounamou in 2016 and this time was just as good. Perfect for a rainy day, but great on any other too. Plan to spend the better part of a day if you want to do every step of carving nicely.
The best experience you could have on the South Island. Steven and the team are masters of the craft, and so friendly too. We loved making a bone and jade necklace and would recommend anyone else to try it for themselves. A must visit!
Today we went to a shop to ask if our stones are greenstones and they gave us advise how to recognise them. So we went on the beach again and we were so lucky! We found two stones, went back and we made a holes and polished them. The stuff was super friendly and we enjoyed it so much! Best experience in NZ for us!
It was amazing! Randomly decided to visit this place to identify our finds, and it turned out great! Steve and Phillip helped us to craft our own! I would come back and I recommend this studio for everyone! They are super friendly, attentive and acknowledgeable! Couldn’t be happier, thank you so much! ??
So glad we dropped in! Steve is so friendly and welcoming and helpful! Big ‘Thank you, Steve!’ for your time and help identifying our beach finds and what turned out to be indeed a little piece of greenstone amongst all the green stones ?
