Usted no puede conducir a este campamento, pero puede sacar de la carretera y aparcar justo antes y después de la entrada a la pista al sitio y caminar 10 minutos, o en bicicleta a este sitio de tiendas frente al agua. El sitio tiene un refugio de cocina y un baño de caída larga, así como tapones que le advierten a hervir el agua antes de beber. El sitio está justo al lado de un par de caminos agradables, una fácil a caídas de Kauri o una caminata más desafiante a una vieja fábrica de madera y estación de pesca de ballenas o las pistas de tranvía. No hay tráfico aquí, sólo el sonido de los pájaros y peces saltar.

This campsite is not boat access only. We got dropped off at the road and watched the 15 minute track to the camping area. It overlooks the Whangaparapara estuary. It is near the hot springs which we didn't check out as it was a much farther walk than we anticipated. There is a sign that says there is glass in one of the hot springs. Water must be boiled here. One long drop toilet. Thousands of mosquitoes. Be prepared for that. If you walk past the wharf, around the rocks, there is a cave and lots of beautiful crystals. It was the highlight for me. The highlight for my sister was the fishing. Stunning spot. But just be prepared, because it is a mission to walk to the closest town. Locals are awesome though, hitchhiking encouraged.
