Beautiful place to relax and unwind. Stayed 2 nights paid nothing for a permit online. Alot of places to park.

Maravillosa vista paisajística de la playa para despertar a pero muy ruidoso como justo al lado de una carretera principal. lavado de baños con sábanas. toque para lavar los platos, no beber agua. estación de descarga. Debe tener un permiso presentado al consejo antes de acampar.

Una vista agradable y justo en la playa, pero también en una carretera ocupada. Mucho vidrio roto y montones de basura. No se ha limpiado en un tiempo, ya que muchos residuos enterrados en la arena. Una de las peores playas que he estado en NZ. Estoy feliz de no haber donado el total de $18 como se recomienda. Basado en esta ubicación, sugeriría que el consejo de Gisborne desalenta a los visitantes fuera del campamento. Tiene tanto potencial. Use zapatos. No traiga niños o animales. No es bueno.

An amazing stopover on the coast. Toilets and rubbish with permit. So close to Gisborne but road busy with logging. Stay 2 nights and chill.

Closed outside of daylight savings, gorgeous drive along the coast though.

There are two zones - one from Sept to April and one from 26 Dec to 1 Feb. It isn’t clear where the second zone starts so we parked close to the toilets (and others were parked further along than us) but were approached by a friendly council officer in the morning to tell us we were in the wrong place. So our advice is to stay on the other side of river to be sure.

Not a good place to turn up at if you are an overseas visitor just traveling independtly, having to book these places needs too much foresight and is too difficult to plan if you have only limited time.

This is a lovely spot, but not great if you want a quiet nights sleep. The logging trucks were roaring past all night.

Beautiful spot! Gorgeous sunset! We stayed closer to the point end. It's basically a thin strip between the road and beach, road very busy due to time of year probably. Still, very lucky to turn up and get a space for 2 families on New Year's Day!
