The spot itself is good. Nice view over the lake and a working toilet (without paper, bring your own). Unfortunately we were harassed by the kids with the water filled balloons as well. Thx for the warning. Still, wasn’t very nice. We decided to stay, they came twice as well with an hour pause in between. Not a very relaxing stay for us though the rest of the night was quiet.

El baño está fijado, y el lugar es agradable. El agua tenía un sabor extraño (el mismo que en la estación de desechos) y era muy viento. Sin embargo, alrededor de las nueve de la noche, un grupo de alrededor de seis niños se aburrían y comenzaron a atacar con globos de agua y golpeando el coche. Después de su segunda ronda de antiguos, decidí trasladarme al parking de Opunake Recreation Ground en el centro de la ciudad, donde estaba tranquilo.

SC only so didn't stay here

The toilet is still under construction, so right now it's not a very comfortable place to spend the night.

The toilet was demolished on 23rd Feb 2026 and is currently being rebuilt.

A lovely, quiet spot right by the lake and not far from the beach. The toilet had no light, but it was clean and in good condition. The internet was also good. According to the sign, there are six pitches, not just three.

Chill place to stop next to a lake with duckies and so on. Houses about so you feel safe as. Walk down to the beach in 10 min. Rhe pub 5 min walk a great place to hang with locals. Super friendly. Get some!

Great place for NSC enjoyed my stay

Muy buen lugar para acampar en libertad, baños limpios y agua potable.

Lugar agradable para el NSC justo al lado del lago. El baño de las sábanas tenía un rollo de baño, pero sin jabón ni luz y también había una fuente de agua.
