Awesome site with great access to beach and sun set. Max of 2 campers, but doesnt seem like anyone checks - we were more for the night. Toilets 5 min walk away, very nice and clean. Close to road with a fair amount of traffic, but does die down in the evening. Lots of locals stopping for sorter amount of time to walk dogs or enjoy the view.

Maximum of 2 self contained vehicles, although another 2 arrived and didn’t have any issues. Toilets about a 1k walk away and they shut at 8pm in the evening. Felt safe here as a solo traveller, some road noise but to be expected and the view was definitely worth it! Recommend stopping here if visiting Kapiti Island.

Handy spot for a one night stop over. Pulled into here on a very windy night. Toilets nearby. There is a homeless lady that sleeps in her car in the parking lot.

Vista increíble si el atardecer de la espalda si se vuelve al espacio. puntos muy limitados, solo 2 por estacionamiento de automóviles por lo que tiene que llegar allí temprano, aunque otras tres furgonetas se quedaron y parecía estar bien. 10 minutos a pie a los baños públicos, que cerraron en algún momento de la noche (posiblemente 8/9pm?). zona tranquila aunque, sintió absolutamente bien quedarse allí.

31 de enero de 2024 Han estado en el campo desde las 3:30 p.m. Hay solo 2 lugares designados para campistas. tuvimos la suerte de utilizar uno de ellos.

Lovely view out to the island in this little car park where freedom camping is permitted! Sign says a max of 2 vans, but we ended up with maybe 5? Hard to know if it's checked as the next park up had at least 5-8 when we arrived at 7pm! Toilets are a walk away by the playground and are locked from about 8pm till 6am in summer. May be flexible though so don't go at 7:59pm! Flat gravel sites with plenty of signal. This bay doesn't have a footpath between you and the view so seems nicer. Keep it clean, keep it free! Great spot. Its 3 parkings with front vieuw of the beach. Nr 3 is the largest. 2 overnight spots avaible, but a lot more vehicles showed up during evening. Toilets 6 minutes walk. Also bbq, shower (cold) and playground. Cafés and restaurants close. Great stay before visiting kapiti island
