We also had a strange experience being put in the corner spot where we had to have other campers move to get us in and therefore were essentially trapped in for the night. I forgot we wanted to visit the glow worm dell that night so when asked if we needed to leave at any point I said no and it was too awkward to ask the other people to move. Not been to another site where you are trapped in and wasn’t thrilled. Also sewage smell in that corner which wasn’t great. Otherwise good facilities.

Place was quite clean and facilities were more than spacious. Wifi is free and unlimited. Showers come with good water pressure and unlimited hot water. So far nothing to complain about. But we stayed beside a permanent camper and there was a strong smell from cannabis. Also cooking plates in the kitchen were not working properly. I cannot understand campgrounds accepting people smoking weeks the whole evening...

Great stay! Best shower experience- unlimited hot water and a big private room with toilet and a sink. All the rest is very clean and cozy!

I’m not sure if we just were there on a bad day but the site we were at had a horrible sewage smell that seemed to get worse as the day went on… possibly overflow issues? We were also packed in here with 4 campers in a pod and would have to have people move their camper to leave easily. Also no easy way to get to Hokitika on foot as there are no trails and minimal shoulder on the main road. Facilities were fine and relatively standard.

There was an overwhelming smell of sewage around our site (21) meaning we couldn’t open any of our windows or doors, but the smell still got in. We brought it up with reception, who said it was a rain drainage gutter running behind us - it wasn’t raining in the morning so unsure why it was flowing so heavily and stinking. We were allocated a site squeezed in with 3 other sites, at other holiday parks would have just been 2. Told we’d be blocked in if the 4th camper arrived. Showers were good.

Stayed on a powered site, only $25pp. The site was spacious and there were individual bathrooms with toilet and shower which was nice. Shower temp was hot. Other than a few permanent caravans, I reckon I was the only person booked in which was a bit wierd cos it’s a nice site and half the price of the one in town. Only a couple of kms drive to town and the beach.

Permanecida 1 noche, tenda sin energía con un check-in tardío en el personal estaba acompañando al check-in tardío en Dusers y los baños son grandes y limpios, la cocina es agradable (no se usa) No hay quejas con este parque de vacaciones La zona circundante es excelente, no lejos de Hokitika y playas. muy tranquilo y amigable, recomendaría

El baño era impecable, con fuerte presión de agua y agua constantemente caliente. Además, cada baño era completamente privado. La cocina comunitaria estaba bien equipada, aunque la cocina de inducción no era lo suficientemente potente. Al final, terminamos de cocinar la cena en el horno de gas en nuestro campervan. El campamento era muy tranquilo por la noche, con sólo un número limitado de sitios disponibles, por lo que se recomienda reservar con antelación durante la temporada de pico. Custa NZ$25/persona en sitios con energía.

Hace 8 años estábamos aquí para la apertura y ahora de nuevo: absolutamente la decisión correcta! Campamento extremadamente bien mantenido, instalaciones sanitarias limpias, espaciosos terrenos, espacios comunes útiles y - lo más importante - personas muy hospitalarias y útiles que manejan el sitio y que se preocupan por el bienestar de sus huéspedes. Estamos viajando en coche y tienda.

Debe haber familiares dando comentarios. Nuestra experiencia fue muy diferente. WiFi era marginal a no existente. Dump estaba fuera de orden. Incluso tú había múltiples puntos abiertos, teníamos campistas aparcados en un clúster alrededor de nosotros. debo decir que las duchas eran muy buenas. Esta es nuestra tercera semana en la isla del Sur y nuestra primera experiencia marginal con un parque. Todo esto a precio premium.
