Great place to stay as part of the Queen Charlotte Track hike. There are two separate camping areas, one next to the sea and the other on "the clearing". Usual DoC long drop toilets. Don't forget to book online, also don't forget to buy you QCTLC pass (they do check). Walk in or boat access only.

Un bon endroit pour rester une nuit, avec des toilettes appropriées, un point d'eau et des tables de pique-nique. La rivière est proche, pour se reposer sur la rive dans l'après-midi. Ce camp est proche de départ donc il n'a pas beaucoup d'intérêt.

Nice campsite which you can walk into from Queen Charlotte (even though it says boat access only).

The camp place is in a very nice area! Native birds, a beach and wonderful scenery! The drinking water must be boiled or filtered. We wanted to stay here but the long drop toilets were almost overflown, also in the nearby 'Clearing' Campground, that we decided to walk further into the Track. This could be a wonderful spot and if you're not too picky about long drops, this is your place. It's approximately 45 minutes away from the start of the Queen Charlotte Track. It's another 1 1/2 hours to a look-out over the Sounds.
