אתה לא יכול לנהוג לקמפינג הזה, אבל אתה יכול להוריד את הכביש ולמכור רק לפני ואחרי הכניסה למסלול לאתר וללכת 10 דקות, או אופניים אל מחנה זה על החוף. באתר יש מקלט מטבח ושירותים טיפה ארוכה כמו גם כפתורים להזהיר אותך לשתות מים רותחים לפני שתייה. האתר הוא ממש ליד כמה מסלולי הליכה נחמדים, קל אחד לקפוץ Kauri או קצת יותר מאתגר הליכה לתחנת עץ ישנה & דג לווייתנים או מסלולי רכבת. אין תנועה כאן, רק הצליל של ציפורים ודגים לקפוץ.

This campsite is not boat access only. We got dropped off at the road and watched the 15 minute track to the camping area. It overlooks the Whangaparapara estuary. It is near the hot springs which we didn't check out as it was a much farther walk than we anticipated. There is a sign that says there is glass in one of the hot springs. Water must be boiled here. One long drop toilet. Thousands of mosquitoes. Be prepared for that. If you walk past the wharf, around the rocks, there is a cave and lots of beautiful crystals. It was the highlight for me. The highlight for my sister was the fishing. Stunning spot. But just be prepared, because it is a mission to walk to the closest town. Locals are awesome though, hitchhiking encouraged.
