We wanted to stay here but when we arrived it looked like an abandoned trailerpark. A lot of old campers with the curtains closed standing side by side. It was raining and we thought it was a bit spookey so did not stay here. We stayed at the campground next to this one (great stay!) And while we stayed there, we saw 2 other vans drive up to the other campground and turn around as well.

We went to the first campsite on this road...Mac Gregor and it was nice! The lake was nice and there are clean toilets. There is no drinking water only rainwater. We walked the track that started 2 km away from the campsite and it was beautiful.

Lovely drive to and location by the lake. Very nice lady on site cleaning the loos but we didn’t need to use them as we are self contained. Not expensive for the location , very quiet, chilled vibe and peaceful and great breakfast on picnic bench overlooking the water. Very easy to get to and so much better than the freedom site on the road just outside Tekapo which looked souless. No issue or even aware of permanent residents who are in a different section. We did have phone signal.

Avoid at all costs! $15 per person for absolutely no services, just a dry toilet with no toilet paper, no water, no showers, no internet connection. It's just a parking lot; the only positive point is the nice view of the small lake.

Very quiet and peacful but not spooky, beautiful view. Basic toilets, no water, some light in the toilets during night. Awesom place when you want get away from the busy Lake Tekapo. No cellular receiption

Strano vibe, sembrava essere solo un paio di posti da parcheggiare. Bella vista, molto tranquilla. Vibe molto strano con residenti permanenti e caravan. Quasi sentire indesiderato lì. Bel posto da vedere e vale la pena di andare a controllare. Non era la mia vibrazione ma. Sentito se facessi un rumore o qualcosa di sbagliato, sarei stato cacciato.

Che posto meraviglioso dove soggiornare, lontano dal turbamento del Lago Tekapo! Abbiamo trascorso una notte in questo luogo meraviglioso, sotto un bel cielo notturno. Siamo stati completamente soli. Così tranquillo, per soli 20$. Ci è piaciuto ! I bagni sono buoni e puliti, con carta igienica fornita.

Bel posto con una bella vista sul lago. Come altri hanno menzionato questo è in realtà il lago McGregor campeggio. Un paio di caravane permanenti sul sito ma un sacco di spazio per i camper con piuttosto piani di griglia piuttosto livelli. I bagni sono abbastanza buoni per il drop loos e il disinfettante per le mani è disponibile, è necessario portare il proprio loo roll anche se. Avrai bisogno di denaro per la casella di onestà, a $ 10 per testa era un valore migliore rispetto alla maggior parte dei siti DOC che abbiamo soggiornato e molto più bello imo.

Ottenuto qui più tardi nel giorno e ancora un sacco di spazio! Viste fantastiche del lago e stelle incredibili di notte! Le luci sono profumate e hai bisogno del tuo rullo di loo. Ma c'è acqua per lavare ecc non per bere. Ci sono residenti permanenti ma sono fuori dal sito di campeggio non vicino a loro. Ogni posto ha una grande vista altamente raccomandato!
