Small location we booked online ahead of time, wonderful views and ideal mid point between Te Anau and Milford Sound. Single drop toilet in decent condtion. Sandflies were overwhelming here.

Completamente buono campeggio. Siate pronti a pagare in contanti, non siamo stati in grado di prenotare online e non c'è alcuna ricezione sul campeggio. Molto piccolo, Cascade creek è più bello.

Esattamente 1 ora a Milford Sound da qui in un giorno d'estate affollato. Un sacco di mosche di sabbia ma se si è auto-contenuti è una grande sosta la notte prima di guidare a Milford Sound. Piccolo sito, si adatta solo a pochi veicoli. Ranger è venuto due volte nella notte per controllare ognuno aveva pagato le loro spese.

Simple and quite, but many sandflys and no wifi and no net

Nice very little spot with a great view. But is a bit pricy for a small, smelly toilet.

The view is magnificent with a fire place and only a few seats. After quite close to the road and the only toilet will soon overflow, no tap, 4G ok, ... Since the price is the same I advise you to push further to Creek cascade at least you will be further from the road . The chti

One of the better spots I reckon on this road, toilet, little succluded off Rd, table, fire pit, access to river but not an easy walk, bit swampy. Good spot to stay b4 doing Milford cruise next morning

Stayed here the night before heading to Milford Sound. Excellent campsite, just as described/expected. A simple clean long drop toilet. Kept most of the sandflies away by lighting a fire and using some damp wood. The fee per night is a bit steep considering most other doc sites are lower per night and have flushing toilets. DOC Ranger will come visit so make sure you pay, the Ranger that came that night had some good yarns. Suggest booking online in peak times but they still have an envelope system there for now. Please make sure you take all your rubbish with you, not nice to see people rubbish/wipes under the bushes... We’ll start losing these great places soon if people can’t take away their rubbish.

Handy for the next day. Thank goodness we are self contained as the toilets are unclean. $13 too much but at least it’s going to DOC.
