One of the most beautiful tracks on both islands. There are various routes to choose from. The tracks are easy—they mostly follow contour lines, with gentle ascents and descents and no steep slopes. I really enjoyed them, with a few mini steps, some river crossings, and a short stretch along railroad tracks, which was also fun. There are signs with information about the local mine. I recommend stopping here, we were completely alone in the parking lot. You can sleep in the parking lot - SC only

Bellissime passeggiate da 30min a 4+ ore. Era abbastanza occupato quando ci siamo arrivati a mezzogiorno quindi sarebbe bello andare presto come il parco può ottenere pieno velocemente. Abbiamo letto tutte le schede informative mentre siamo andati e ha trovato davvero interessante. Molto da imparare sulla zona. Era super cool per vedere aal le vecchie linee ferroviarie intatte.

Un certo numero di valli che vanno da facile a media difficoltà. Ottieni una mappa dal centro di informazione di Te Aroha prima. Corrente splendidamente chiara al parco. Resti di stampo della batteria al parco. Segui le passeggiate alle ferrovie, ai tunnel e alla pendenza. Perfetto per le famiglie con bambini più piccoli. Carpark potrebbe non essere sicuro per accampare durante la notte quando i hoons a volte escono a giocare.

We went hiking for 2 hours. Nice if you have the time but not a must do of the region in my opinion. The best part was the one that runs along the old rails. No particular difficulty.

Not many comments so I'll add one. Just did it today, it was definitely worth going ! many tracks available for all levels, we didn't go all the way to the top but still did 2 hours. And all along the way there are little mining things (rails, caves, machines) to enjoy

Native bush walks with a variety tracks taking as long or as short as time available. Stout shoes needed.Historical gold mines from 1881 & the rail lines & steep inclines (3) to explore. Definitely worth a look.
