Rakiura Track (NZ Great Walk)

One of New Zealand's Great Walks, this 32km walking track, on Stewart Island, offers stunning coastal views and takes walkers through native bush, along roads, and across beaches, accompanied by the sound of heaps of bird life. It is one of the best places to see kiwi in the wild - a must do NZ experience. Huts must be booked in advance from the Department of Conservation and visitors must register their intention to walk the track.
