Trappen de hele weg, en echt saai terrein. We deden de wandeling op een regenachtige en bewolkte dag, we konden de berg niet eens zien op Henry's punt vanwege de wolken. Doe nog een wandeling, als het op een bewolkte dag, dus niet de moeite waard

Overnight parking is not allowed at the carpark! Beautiful views from the top, but 5km uphill only with stairs! Takes us 4h (up and down)..

De dame in het bezoekerscentrum adviseerde deze parkeerplaats om 's nachts te verblijven en het spoor vroeg in de ochtend (4 uur) te starten, wat gemakkelijk is omdat het allemaal boardwalk / stappen en goed onderhouden is.

Geweldige wandeling van hier, alle board wandeling die kan zijn slippy en vooral ijs uit de boomlijn dus neem uw tijd.

Nice hike, 1h40 to get to the hut and 15 minutes more to reach the pond 1h25 to go down to the parking, the view is breathtaking! Never leave the wooden slats that form the same path 2 cm, I ducked twice in the mud to the ankle

A wonderful hike! Many steps, but with paths to walk absolutely feasible, even for beginners! A breathtaking view of Mount Taranaki. One of the best hikes so far on the North Island!

Two hours to get up stopping taking lots of pictures and breaks. Was clear all morning but by the time we got to the tarns the peak was clouded over. Over all it was a nice hike

We found a pair of glasses on the track today (7th of July). Left them at the start of the track on the "Kiwi Zone" sign.

The views at the top above the hut and at the tarn on a sunny winter’s day are so beautiful it’s just wonderful, and make the 3km of boardwalk steps worth it ?. Make sure you come early before the afternoon clouds roll in. It is quite a challenging track because of all the steps and constant two hour grind uphill but the gradient is mostly gradual. It took us (72 and 65) two hours to Pouakai Hut and another 20 minutes to the tarn. The new car park is great for parking a camper.
