De dam is verbazingwekkend om te zien, het water is krachtig en stroomt over de dammuur. vrij afgelegen, was een goede plek om te kamperen voor de nacht voor een vroege start de volgende ochtend.

We stayed there for one night. It's not a campsite; it's a pumped-storage hydroelectric plant or something similar for generating electricity. We parked before the bridge. It was a bit eerie because it's so remote, but it was a great stopover. We were the only ones there.

The navigation address is not accurate. After crossing the bridge, I saw another RV and parked next to it. It was very clean, but it was super cold at night.

Geweldige plek, mooi en rustig...... Tot 6am toen de dam release siren ging uit! Alleen ging voor 10mins dus een goed alarm horloge echt.

Mooie plek. App niet helemaal correct. Neem de afgesloten weg niet de niet afgesloten. Heuvels van ruimte. zou blijven opnieuw.

Geweldige plek, rustig met toegang tot water en bos wandelen. Goede stop voor een nacht reizen naar Wellington voor de middag veerboot.

Prachtige plek. Prachtig uitzicht. We gingen naar beneden de rechterhand weg voor de dam brug. Goede draaikamer. zou deze plek aanbevelen

Great spot! Turn right just before the dam bridge and get less shade but more privacy. No other cars and it was the height of the summer season. Listening to the water is soothing too.

Really cold in the morning! Try to park before you go over the dam otherwise you will NOT get morning sun.
