Nice place, bit noisy with the road really close. But nothing wrong with this place. Didn’t see a free camp sign, but police drove by around 9 pm and didn’t say anything :)
Free Campsites•Hurunui
Do not recommend. Got woken up at 6am to the council staff mowing and using a blower around our vehicle, this went on for an hour. Throughout the night multiple cars came in honking. The lights were left on all night in the carpark. There is 5 free camping spots however 2 were taken up all night by Council cars, despite the rest of the carpark being empty.
Vi bodde ikke, men du kan bruke Penny Key / Kiwi Cash for å få tilgang til dusjer / vaskerom (ingen tørrere). Dusjen var ok, ganske grim og i desperat behov for en fersk maling, men ellers fint. $ 3 for 5 min. Hvis du har en av kortene, trenger du ikke å ringe og få en kode, bare trykk to ganger utenfor døren for å komme inn (den delen koster ikke noe)
Kan gå ned til elven som er så hyggelig berøring og være i stand til å følge hunden som vet hvor å gå må være et høydepunkt.
