Pessoalmente, eu não gostei da estadia. Fiquei uma noite antes do Tongariro Alpine Crossing (uma excursão de grupo de inverno começando às 7h do dia seguinte), então foi muito conveniente, mas a pousada parecia cheia de pessoas de longo prazo que me fizeram sentir desconfortável lá.

Avoid parking near the railroad line at all costs. Although the parking lots are flatter there, freight trains with diesel locomotives stop for about 45 minutes at night on the single-track line and wait for oncoming traffic with the engine running. It was so loud that we had to change parking spaces at night. Otherwise clean and quiet.

Bonito pequeno lodge com grande cozinha totalmente equipada, banheiros limpos e chuveiros. taxas para um camper são agora $ 25 pp / noite não 20 como diz em seu site (-: recomendo!

Tivemos um local sem energia por 2 noites (não há locais alimentados ou lixo). A cozinha está bem, mas velha. Os chuveiros são realmente velhos, mas quentes. Ficamos para a Crossing. À noite o trem passa +/- 50 metros do estacionamento..Não tenho certeza se iremos reservar novamente. Há um acampamento gratuito nas proximidades..

Bom acampamento com instalações realmente ótimas, lavadoras e secadoras que funcionam, grande cozinha com muitos equipamentos e estações, área de jantar quente com um lugar de fogo, bons banheiros!E eles têm uma loja e bar na propriedade.Chegamos no último minuto e eles foram tão acolhedores e úteis.

Great spot. Cosy lounge area with woodburning stove. Great for rainy nights when you don't want to be in the Van. Also Netflix/You Tube on the TV. Powerful hot showers included in the price.

Lovely little spot for before and after the alpine crossing. Can organise shelter to pick you up and drop off from there and good price for kitchen, living room and hot showers included.

We spent two nights at the Alpine Lodge to do the famous Alpine Crossing Hiking. The second night is essential, because after 20km you are washed out! $/person/night sleeping in the car, reasonable price given the facilities (clean kitchen, large living room with sofas, wifi, dining tables…) Washing machine and dryer for $3 each The reception also does a small grocery store, so if you have a craving that's nice. For the Alpine Crossing, you can book the shuttle directly at reception, several slots available in the morning
