The best place we stayed in NZ! A few secluded spots by a nice river. Saw sheep crossing the historic bridge in the morning 😄 very clean long drop. Lovely views on the drive, but nothing else - make sure you pack lunch and fill up petrol! We had some signal.

The nature around the camping site is kust beautiful, the long drop toilet was clean and there is plenty of space. Reall just a spot to calm down and live life slowly 👍

Beautiful road to here. Make sure to come during sun down so you can enjoy the views on the way. Quiet campsite

Clean drop toilet and a beautiful location with crystal clear river (great for a shower). We parked on the pebbles right next to the river which made it a memorable spot. Lots of local families seem to visit here so be mindful that children are likely to play in the river nearby.

Călătorie lungă aici, dar cu siguranță merită. Ne-am bucurat de șederea noastră aici foarte mult la a avut o scufundare rece în râu, complet neîngrijit. Am fost aici cu aproximativ 3 alții, dar ne-am simțit singuri pe care am iubit.

Un loc frumos, deși fără semnal așa cum au menționat alții. Ne-am înotat în râu și am avut un timp minunat. Drumul de aici la Napier este un pic teribil, așa că umpleți rezervorul înainte de a pleca!

Easy for any size vehicle (SUV and caravan) spot is on the road side but you go down a little off the road so felt safe with young children. River is really nice looked like it flowed fast in some parts but we saw people swimming in bridge which was fun to walk along. Toilet not fun... But hey if you want a nice toilet chances are your not freedom camping

The spot is great and it was very nice to wake up on a sunny morning. We were the only ones here and arrived in the dark but it is well signposted off the main road. When we stayed the toilet was quite grim and needs some cleaning - there’s a lot of bugs and you need your own toilet paper
