On the first day of arriving in New Zealand, after picking up the rented campervan, I discovered that my luggage had been left at the airport. I have to wait until the next day when the airport staff start working to retrieve it, so I need to stay overnight in Auckland. I’m Chinese, and the nearby Chinese supermarket and church make me feel a sense of familiarity. At the same time, this spot is really nice — there are large lawns and parks around, and it’s not far from the shopping centre. In the evening, a lot of construction vehicles and workers gathered here for a meeting, but they left soon after. Overall, the scenery is good and it’s very quiet. Most importantly, it’s free.

Medan du kan höra bilarna längs vägen, särskilt märkbar vid topptider, är det knappast rowdy och gör en ganska bra plats. Toaletterna är en liten promenad (kanske 1,5 km på ett sätt) Följ den trottoar runt till toaletterna. Observera: de är timade och låsta över natten. Många parkeringsplatser, riktigt trevligt stort gräs med snygga bänkar att leka på. Rätt inuti auckland blev jag förvånad beacause bilden liknar inte platsen alls.

Trevligt ställe, tyst på natten.Vinden viskar genom ganska lite här eftersom det är ett öppet område.Det fanns en indisk fest i händelsebyggnaden intill, men det var tyst vid 11 pm. Toaletterna är lite långt bort, men teoretiskt har alla en i sin bil.

Easy to get a spot but toilets are quite a walk.

Good for a rainy stormy night. The ground is solid, nearly no standing water.

Great play to stay. Quite big. Ormiston mall near with supermarket, gym and restaurants 20 min walking.

Nice place for a night. The problem is the nearest restrooms are at the Barry Curtis Playground.
