Underbar upptäckt, jag är glad att jag kom hit, även om Katikati känns som ett slumpmässigt stopp för natten. Endast en annan, sen ankomstbil kom. Parken är värd en promenad runt eller en yoga session etc., så idealiskt ta lite tid här. Lokalbefolkningen går eller cyklar genom, mycket lugn och vänlig atmosfär. Toaletterna är rena nog, men ligger upp på den lilla kulle på andra sidan vägen.

28Apr2026: Car park for up to 5 self-contained vehicles. Located in the middle of the town, but entrance is a bit hidden and the surroundings are very quiet. We got there at 6 pm and It was empty. We spent a peaceful night.

The entrance is somewhat hidden behind the café. It's a lovely, quiet spot in a well-maintained park. The area marked in yellow on the map can accommodate five vehicles. We were the only ones there, along with just one other campervan. At night, some teenagers drove by in a car and tried to scare us with strange noises. We thought it was ridiculous, but it would certainly be unpleasant for women traveling alone. Around 8 a.m. the next morning, a large group of volunteers gathered in the parking lot.

A beautiful and peaceful spot, not close to the main road which is a plus. Restrooms across the road open until late (or maybe all night). There were only three of us in campers. A great place to spend the night.

Har letat efter en plats i århundraden i denna region och hittade denna dolda pärla. ganska liten plats med utrymme på kvällen! Toaletter i närheten och en vacker få. definitivt rekommenderas!😍

Gömd men mycket trevlig freecamp! Vänd före kaféet, strax efter DIY-butiken, det är en kort passage. Det finns rena toaletter över gatan. Super trevligt ställe, det fanns 1 annat fordon än vårt. Butiker inom gångavstånd (café, stormarknad, etc.). Kort avkopplande promenad längs Haiku Park. Wifi-punkt vid kaféet precis uppe (mycket bra muffins och lattes!)

En trevlig vistelse vid en underbar flod och park, mycket nära stadens centrum. Det är en super tyst plats för natten, och toaletterna är ca 200m bort, lättillgänglig.

A bit hidden behind the cafe. Very quiet parking lot directly at the park and creek. Was there alone. More cars came at night? who were gone again in the morning. Gladly again

Lovely spot as previous comments. Park is room for cars or vans (not big enough for larger motorhomes unfortunately)

Quiet little spot, and we were the only ones there. Really quiet but around 3am I heard a car or cars and some lights. Might be police or the council doing their rounds ? Either way it was ok.
