Vi anlände vid 8:30 och det fanns fortfarande gott om utrymmen tillgängliga. Vägen var upplyst, så vi kunde ta grusvägen utan några problem. Toaletterna är på närliggande bensinstation. Inga problem under natten.

Plenty of spaces, but was busy by the time we arrived. Sheltered from the main road, careful if you arrive in the dark as the ground is pretty uneven in places. Good cafe onsite which opens at 0800.

Great place to stop over. Plenty of parking on grass if carpark area is full. Nice quite spot behind the museum, which opens early with friendly staff serving up great coffee and food.

Toilet with code, impossible to use

Trevligt stort utrymme och mycket sval. Du känner dig borta bakom militärmuseet och är faktiskt omgiven av natur på andra sidan. Trevligt ställe att stanna över som det är ganska tyst och massor av bensinstationer. Offentliga toaletter är alla bara några minuters promenad. Telefonsignal var tillgänglig på anständiga nivåer.

Lätt att parkera någonstans på gräset i frihet campingområdet, mycket rena offentliga toaletter intill bensinstationen.

En lugn och stor (jag tror för ca 20 motorhomes) gratis campingområde med rena toaletter på andra sidan vägen vid bensinstationen.

Great spot with toilets not too far across the road. Didn't go to the museum but I would stop by and try it out on my way back through. Great location for exploring Tongariro Nat Park and Lord of the Rings locations

Not the most cosy location but good for one night. I was there with a few other campers. Quiet. Toilers are across the street next to Caltex. The one on the site ate locked (from the museum).

Good location with a great mountain view. There are toilets, but it's a bit noisy with the train and road nearby.
