The spot itself is good. Nice view over the lake and a working toilet (without paper, bring your own). Unfortunately we were harassed by the kids with the water filled balloons as well. Thx for the warning. Still, wasn’t very nice. We decided to stay, they came twice as well with an hour pause in between. Not a very relaxing stay for us though the rest of the night was quiet.

Toaletten är fixad, och platsen är trevlig. Vattnet hade en konstig smak (samma som vid dumpningsstationen) och det var mycket vindigt. Men runt nio på kvällen blev en grupp på ungefär sex barn uttråkad och började attackera med vattenballonger och slå på bilen. Efter deras andra omgång antikviteter bestämde jag mig för att flytta till parkeringen Opunake Recreation Ground i stadens centrum, där det var tyst.

The toilet is still under construction, so right now it's not a very comfortable place to spend the night.

The toilet was demolished on 23rd Feb 2026 and is currently being rebuilt.

A lovely, quiet spot right by the lake and not far from the beach. The toilet had no light, but it was clean and in good condition. The internet was also good. According to the sign, there are six pitches, not just three.

Chill place to stop next to a lake with duckies and so on. Houses about so you feel safe as. Walk down to the beach in 10 min. Rhe pub 5 min walk a great place to hang with locals. Super friendly. Get some!

Great place for NSC enjoyed my stay

Mycket bra plats för frihet camping, rena toaletter och dricksvatten.

Trevligt ställe för NSC precis bredvid sjön. Flush toalett hade toalett rullar men ingen tvål eller ljus och det fanns en fontän också. Inte långt att gå till staden eller till stranden
