We have been staying here every year in a selfcontained motorhome however in 2024 we're told unable to save site. This is discrimination as caravaners are able to unhitch and go out in the tow vehicle and their site is secure. We were told get a taxi why should we have to pay for a taxi. We will not be doing any tours etc. Why can't a couple of witches hats be supplied for the duration even a deposit could be paid and refunded on return. PT

Large parking area for self contained vehicles. Dog friendly. Next to football oval. Must keep dogs on leash. Dump point. Close to shopping centre, Woolworths. 72 hours. Walkway along beachside. Cafes in town close by.

Great fee free campground strictly for fully self contained Motorhomes and Caravans. Strictly no rooftop campers, trailer campers, tents or swags or sleeping in vehicles. Walking distance to local shops.

Free 72 hour RV Park for self-contained vehicles (no rooftop tents or camper trailers allowed) Adjacent to the Turf club in Port Hedland. Some facilities Large dirt parking area with no shade. Facilities include bins, flushing toilets and potable water. Good Telstra, excellent Optus and TV reception. The only free camping option around Port Hedland. Gets extremely busy (over 100 vehicles during my visit) so arrive early. Road and rail noise both day and night.

This campground is seasonal. Opens around end of April and closes approximately end of September. There are rules to entering this campground. Such as all vehicles must be self-coined. Each vehicle must have own toilet. All grey water is to be contained. No washing to be hung outside vehicle. Ranger does visit twice per day and is quite strict about the rules. This is a 72hr campground and a very popular one. If rules are adhered to, we shall have these grounds every season. For everyone’s pleasure, let us all abide by the rules so we maybe able to visit this great little town. Let us support a town which is trying to help us.

Great rest area self contained only don’t stay if you’re not self contained will end up wrecking it for every one. Awesome location right in town.

Great site; potable water, handy to flush toilets & local amenities & only a short stroll to the lookout to watch the sunset. Very crowded, but would recommend. Hint: if you want to fill a gas bottle head to Kleenheat located @ Wedgefield.

Wonderful initiative by Port Hedland. Definitely open. Free for 72 hours. Self contained vehicles only. Ranger visits. Please don’t abuse this site. Being free is a trial. If used by non self contained vehicles this facility will close.
