Castle Point is a MUST on your way down the east coast. One of the most beautiful spots on the north island. The carpark is quiet and the bathrooms are well maintained. But the real kicker is the walk to and up Castle Rock for stunning views that will make you feel like you’re on the edge of the Earth. Head to the rock for sunset, and head to the lighthouse nearby for sunrise, and you’ll be amazed by this place.

Toilet nearby which is open 24/7 Only downside a woman came round just after 9am and was very rude about telling everyone to leave.
