Gold panning nutters galore only outnumbered by the ubiquitous sandfly. Itchy bitchy skinbites.

Great place, felt a bit remote but people were nice enough staying next to river. We panned for gold, a local lent us their gold pan and we found two teeny bits (I mean really teeny). You need to dig deep under where everyone else has dug - a small spade is useful, and patience.

YOU MUST STAY HERE. This place is such a beaut. - Flushing Toilets - Lots of space (private camper spots, shaded grassy areas) - Gentle stream ok for swim Sandflies were quiet (but this summer has been low numbers in general) There are wasps around but they didn't trouble us.
