Easy track into the top of the falls. Interesting the way the river turns 90 degrees before dropping over the rocky bluff. Glad we made the short detour to see these falls. Parking area at west end of bridge.

Don’t waste your time! Can’t see much from the viewing point at the top and if you do go down the unofficial track, you still can’t see the waterfall. I guess this waterfall will now only be seen in old pictures of it. However if you like bush and view of the river then it might be worth it.

An impressive fall. The main viewing point doesn’t give such a great view though.

Very disapointed, we can't see really the Falls. The small none official track on the right was slippery so I couldn't manage to see more.

Beautiful falls, definitely worth a stop if you're driving by! Unfortunately they're quite hidden by surrounding trees... You can walk down on a probably not official, but well worn path that leads you to the bottom of the falls.

Looks like you probably used to be able to go further down and see more, but the path doesn't lead you that far. The pictures from the leaflets are further down and you can actually see the falls. Quite interesting about the old canyon though but probably not worth the drive from Wairoa for this. Maybe you if you are passing perhaps.

Such a gigantic waterfall, the amount of water and the sound are breathtaking! Worth to go there anyway. Unfortunately, you can not see the entire waterfall because there are too many trees in front but it is just great. Shortly after the bridge on the left is a small path, COMPLETE run to the end. You have a wonderful view

Really beautifull waterfalls you can see them from the top. The sound is amazing!
