Freecamp very isolated in the forest. There is not a lot of space. The toilets are awful. We wanted to do the 2-hour hike but the road was cut off by the river. The morning is quite cool, we get woken up by the birds and the sheep from the nearby field.

Only 2 parking spaces, it's a matter of luck if you have space.

Cute isolated small carpark 2 vehicles 3 maybe? Toilets not clean but it was perfect for us after Tongariro. The road to get there is quiet with cute sheeps and cows.

Limited space (2-3 pitches), a barely usable toilet, and lots of mosquitoes. Not recommended if avoidable. Still, better than nothing.

Very small site, there was one other vehicle when we stayed and I don’t think a third would have fit. The bathroom was unfortunately not too nice and had several large spiders. However, the surrounding nature was absolutely stunning and we enjoyed our morning coffee in a light rain. It is somewhat in the middle of nowhere, but it worked for us trying to break up several hours of driving.
