What a great walk! We even did the walk on a rainy and cloudy day and it was still worth it. So nice bushwalk with great views, on the top u will find a big hut. It took us 1h and 15min to get up there only the last 2kms a bit step. Enjoy!

So glad we stopped and did this hike! Great views, bridges, and a hut at the top-we wish we stayed overnight. But you can do it in 2-3 hours. Definitely recommend.

Great hike. It's short but steep so prepare accordingly. Beautiful views and real nice cabin. Getting there is odd. Go down renfew rd and go all the way down till you see a gate on your left saying ruahine forest rd. Go thru 2 gates and the parking lot is there.

Don’t take East Mangahuia rd/Bowling rd to get there. You need to take Renfrew rd.

A good walk, nice variety of terrain and nice views from the top

The hut track is a very amazing walk. There are many nice views, on the top and at the walk. You can see the Mr. Tongariro if the weather is nice. And it is the best you go if it is dry, there are many slops goes down.

Great fairly short walk. At a fast pace with no backpack- 1h 10m to the hut and under an hour down.

Great little hike with amazing views at the top. 2 hours up, bring some food with you and relax in the hut at the top. 15 per person overnight.

super nice track. The drop is quite physically demanding. We did the trail that takes 2 hours to ride (4km). The other choice is over 10km and 6 hours of walking. The climb to the top is worth but it is not recommended with very bad weather .
