Great campsites, wallabies nearby your tent. Limited WiFi available at the visitors centre, Telstra reception also available near the visitor centre. No showers but cubicle available.
Castle rock campsite was perfect! Toilets super clean, they also have pulley camp shower cubicles which was ideal after a hot hike (bring a water pouch to use). They have water (not drinkable thought), and the campsite is well maintained :)
Wow, this place! So cheap for all that is to offer. The spectacular hikes and the refreshing creek all at your door step, this has to be my favourite place to date. Wouldn’t recommend in summer, the hikes are hrs and you are exposed to the sun.
Lovely campground (I stayed at Castle Rock for one night). Perfect for exploring the national park. Toilets were great and very clean. Showers were disabled but cubicles available for use. Campsites were quite close together but still a great place to stay. No service but small amount of wifi available at the info centre.
Stayed at Bold Rock camping for a couple of nights, perfect spot. Showers were off due to water restrictions, but cubical available for use with my trusty shower bag.
Close because of the dry weather, more information on the park website
Wonderful place, right in the forest. Kangaroos and possums right by your tent. Lot of space between spots. The facility building looks brand new and is very clean. You must self check in online, prices start at 6,35 per person per night. Please note than there is no network coverage in the area but there is free WiFi available at the park office, just a few minutes walk from the campground. Hiking the pyramid is a must do, beautiful views from the top especially on the morning! No bins available, take your rubbish with you. Highly recommended!!!!
Nice quiet place. Campsite was almost empty. Has clean toilets & warm shower. There are no cafes, supermarkets, so enough to drink & eat. Centrally located for hiking, for example to the pyramid, really recommendable. M & S from Switzerland
We stayed at the Castle Rock Campsite. You have to docs online registration to a permit number. But you have free wifi for that near the visitor center. The site is great, even with toilet and showers. Unpowered. No dump station. Very beautiful in the nature. A lot of kangaroos just in front of your tent or Camper. Great walks.
Stayed at the Bald Rock camping site. Sites weren't numbered so you pitch wherever you want (ie FIFS) unlike some of the queensland national park sites. Clean flushing toilets and hot showers (4mins at a time so be naked and ready to hop in!). We loved this place and wished we could have stayed longer but it was fully booked for the following nights so definitely recommend booking in advance. Great tracks starting within walking distance and lots of Roos and wildlife around to watch.
