Amazing campground! In the morning we snorkeled right of the beach and saw loads of turtles. Quiet campground quite busy so book in advance (in exmouth where there’s reception). Telstra reception was not optimal. We payed 20 dollars a night and the ranger came and checked our reservation. 2wd accessible. No shade but some wind at night and the beach closeby
Great place and bay for snorkeling! Easy to book online in advance, as there is almost no cell phone reception in the NP you should do this in Exmouth. Since it is always windy, the temperatures are bearable. Small trails nearby and recommended: Mandu Mandu Gorge and Yardie Creek Trail
A truly fantastic place to camp. In the off-season the campground is only lightly visited. We were able to book really nice places with sea views (35, 9) the day before. The remaining places with sea views are 7, 11 (!), 13 (!), 16 (!), 17 (!), 31, 32 (!), 33, 34, 36. We were told by the ranger that we shouldn't be put off by the weather in Exmouth, as experience has shown that it is 5-10 degrees warmer there.
Absolutely amazing camping spot! Easy accessible with 2 wd. Super friendly ranger couple. Great location. No flush toilets and no showers. Easy booking online possible.
Traum Lage. Rangerpaar unglaublich nett. Sehr große weit auseinander liegenden Plätze
We stayed for one night with our Campervan, there are amazing spots from which you can see the ocean behind the rocks/cliffs, still easy access to the water. Very clean toilets, needs pre-booking online, would recommend.
Perfect view of the cliffs from the camp and really close to the water. If you want a longer beach you have to go to the sides. In the middle it's just cliffs with a tiny beach. It was verrry windy, and no shelter, but Kurrajong was the same, until the weather changed. We saw a pod of dolphins here, but too windy for snorkelling. Only two or three other cars, a few more in the generator area. No phone reception but the Telstra WiFi hotspot got enough signal.
Unfortunately the whole Cape Range Area is fully booked until the end of October. You can just find (if you’re lucky) a free spot when someone cancel and was so pleased to inform the park. Some camp grounds still have free spots and no one shows up or canceled. I checked it today and drove around the whole area. It’s necessary to improve that system, cos a lot people book early and just block their spots. Should be forced to confirm their booking 24h before arrival, otherwise the spot would be put on the market again!!!
