What a wonderful experience. We visited Te Puia on the 21/03, and did the Te Rā Guided Experience with our guide Morgan and quite a large group, and it was great. This place is seriously impressive, naturally and architecturally. Morgan was friendly, informative and gave a really interesting tour. The kiwis were just beautiful and the Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley was just spectacular. Next time we’ll have some lunch here or do the buffet as it looked so yummy! From start to finish this was just great, thanks Jasmine and the team for having us. Kia ora rawa atu.
Far too overpriced tour! Unfortunately, it is not possible to book a tour without a guide to go through it yourself. A few things in the park were interesting, other things could have been saved. The guide was nice but too much was said and the tour lengthened unnecessarily.
Sadly no performances and half the route closed. The guide Anaha was excellent. Site manager needs to think hard about why a 90 minute tour for 25+ people starts at 1330hrs and the cafe closes at 1500hrs.
The geisers and mudpools were nice to see, as well as the Kiwi's in the Kiwi house. The tourguide was very kind and gave an interesting tour, especially about the Maori culture. It even had pudding at the end:) Would deffinitely go here! My day pass was also valid for the next day, so i went twice!
Toller Ort. Angenehme Mischung aus Māori-Kultur und Naturschauspiel. Auf jeden Fall die kostenlose Tour mitmachen. Sehr interessant mit tollen Extras! $70 Eintritt lohnen sich. Waren 4 Stunden dort (Führung 2h)
Went to the Te Pō evening cultural show & dinner. So great to see the Maori cultural greeting & entertainment. The buffet dinner was fantastic. Then a cup of hot chocolate with the geysers under the starry night. Very enjoyable.
Pleasant coworkers. The tour is okay. A mud pool and a few geysers. KiwiHaus. Kiwi museum was closed. The performance / ceremony is highly recommended. We liked it very much. Since the performance costs extra is a bit much. As said, the park could only be used to a limited extent.
Had such a wonderful time here with our two children. I highly recommend the Maori performance- very mesmerising and my 4 and 6 year old sat still for a full 40 minutes without a word! ( that never happens...) We packed our lunch and snacks and were there from 9am- 2:30 walking around exploring In our own time rather than a tour( which we would have done if our children weren’t with us) and enjoying it all. No hesitations in recommending this place.
Awesome experience! Our guide was a charming young lady and she told us liafs of facts about Maori culture. The arts school is an impressive facility and we are more than happy to having contributet a little to its future.
Camp Ground is good but nothing special. Washing powder is more expensive than anywhere else, also too wash and dry your clothes is more expensive then anywhere else. Not that friendly staff. Kitchen and swimming pool is fine.
