Only two parking spaces are permitted without reservation. No tents allowed. View of a lovely landscaped park. Clean toilets and drinking water available. Wi-Fi available at the local bookstore, within walking distance of the parking area.

2 freedom camping spots near the centre of town, available to park from 8pm-8am (someone came to check us just passed 8pm). Access to clean free toilets, drinking water, picnic tables and a BBQ (2$ coins required). Seems to be in demand as a lot of vans had to turn away!

Yea, some pricks always park here outside the hours so it's hard outside of winter, go call DOC to give them a fine if you feel like it. ALSO! Hanmer amenity area is also for not certified vehicles if you are looking for a place, currently incorrectly marked as self contained only in campermate. Emailed DOC who said its only the area 500m further up the road that is self contained only as toilets aren't close even though the road seems to be currently closed to go further up.

Lovely place. Only 2 spaces. Me and my wife waited in a normal car park just next to them from 12pm, went to the pools at 6pm. When we came back around 7pm to park our van, it was full. It pissed us off that we waited so long. You are only allowed to park there from 8pm to 8am.

Great spot in a small quiet & dark carpark, I got there a little after 8pm and there was one spot left. Good little toilet cubicle with clean toilets and bins, and it is right next to a 24/7 laundromat, that has 2 powerpoint outlets! I popped on my laundry & charged up my devices while waiting. Spot is a 5 minute walk from everything! Loved it here! One of the better camp sites i’ve stayed in, despite it being away from nature.

NON SELF CONTAINED - Sie können in Hanmer DOC Base & Car Park incl Übernachtung bleiben. Ich habe mit einem Kerl aus DOC gesprochen und er hat mich gerade an diesen Ort geschickt.

Wir hatten Glück an einem ruhigen Wochentag nach den Schulferien zu Ende.Es ist im Parkplatz für einen schönen kleinen Park mit Toiletten.Ein einfacher Spaziergang zu Restaurants usw. in Hanmer Springs.

Begrenzten Drehraum und nicht einmal in der Nähe des Niveaus warnte der Rat auch vor möglichen Bußgeldern, wenn Sie hier vor 8 Uhr parken.

Der Rat prüft die Einhaltung, wenn Sie an einem nicht benannten Ort parken, werden Sie wahrscheinlich gebeten, weiterzumachen.

Ankunft um 7 und die 2 Plätze wurden bereits von selbst eingehalten ... dies ist wirklich ärgerlich, da dies das einzige kostenlose Camp für nicht selbst eingehalten in der Stadt verfügbar ist.. PLS SELF CONTAINED PARK NICHT HIER haben Sie viele Optionen in und um die Stadt !
