Beautiful place to relax and unwind. Stayed 2 nights paid nothing for a permit online. Alot of places to park.

Schöne malerische Aussicht auf den Strand, um aufzuwachen, aber sehr laut wie direkt neben einer Hauptstraße. Spülen Toiletten mit Töpfen. Tippen Sie für das Waschen von Geschirr, nicht Trinkwasser. Dumpstation. Muss eine Genehmigung vor dem Campingplatz eingereicht haben.

Eine schöne Aussicht und direkt am Strand, aber auch auf einer belebten Straße. Viel gebrochenes Glas und Haufen Müll. Es wurde in einer Weile nicht gereinigt, da viel Müll in den Sand begraben wurde. Einer der schlimmsten Strände, die ich in NZ besucht habe. Ich bin froh, dass ich nicht den vollen $ 18 gespendet habe, wie empfohlen. Basierend auf dieser Lage würde ich vorschlagen, dass der Gisborne-Rat Camperbesucher außerhalb entmutigt. Es hat so viel Potenzial. Tragen Sie Schuhe. Bringen Sie keine Kinder oder Tiere mit. Nicht gut.

An amazing stopover on the coast. Toilets and rubbish with permit. So close to Gisborne but road busy with logging. Stay 2 nights and chill.

Closed outside of daylight savings, gorgeous drive along the coast though.

There are two zones - one from Sept to April and one from 26 Dec to 1 Feb. It isn’t clear where the second zone starts so we parked close to the toilets (and others were parked further along than us) but were approached by a friendly council officer in the morning to tell us we were in the wrong place. So our advice is to stay on the other side of river to be sure.

Not a good place to turn up at if you are an overseas visitor just traveling independtly, having to book these places needs too much foresight and is too difficult to plan if you have only limited time.

This is a lovely spot, but not great if you want a quiet nights sleep. The logging trucks were roaring past all night.

Beautiful spot! Gorgeous sunset! We stayed closer to the point end. It's basically a thin strip between the road and beach, road very busy due to time of year probably. Still, very lucky to turn up and get a space for 2 families on New Year's Day!
