Great place, definitely recommended - not only for birders!

Dies war eines der Höhepunkte unserer Reise!Wir haben so viel über die Vögel von NZ und die Erhaltungsmaßnahmen gelernt, die auf der ganzen Welt gemacht werden.

Wirklich toll! Wir gingen für einen schönen Spaziergang zu den Vogelblinden und beobachteten die Wrybills fliegen und andere Strandvögel wandern herum. Das Personal war super nett und informativ und sie ließen uns Duschen hier im Austausch für eine Spende nehmen.

Beware of the tides. When we were there it was low tide and we couldn't see any birds...

Nicely set up walk and bird hides - just ensure you go at high tide! The Centre further up the road has plenty of information and binoculars for hire.
