Wonderful place, new owners Mic and jackie are lovely and George the dog, by the by: the retreat and camp ground are the same place, no more retreat place. Small toilet block hot showers. River water taps but not for drinking, river has platypus, good for fishing, kayaking and standup boarding. Very large camp sites, recommend come from the wingham direction, other direction is 70km of windy dirt road ?

Great camping spot Just spent the Long weekend there ?? even though it was a bit busy it's was still tranquil . Would highly recommend. Thanks for a great weekend.

Just spent four days camping here with the wife in early Sept 2019 it's a bit dry at the moment due to drought and the river is low, however it's a great place to just chill out or to get kids off the internet and enjoying the. Massive campsites each with its own fire pit, and You can purchase a load of firewood for a nominal fee. Older style small block of toilets and hot showers ,which were clean and well maintained , however could be an issue during peak holiday times. There was about ten people camping during our visit so the location so it was very peaceful it's also teeming with native animals and bird life. The owners John and Rhonda were very welcoming hosts and made our stay extremely enjoyable will be returning to this slice of paradise !!! Dog friendly too!!!!

This is a lovely place to camp. I meet one of the owner’s names John, he was kind and helpful and very welcoming. It’s by the river, with showers and toilets. It also has a communal eating spot with shade/shelter. Unfortunately no fresh water but a beautiful river to swim in.

Our favourite campsite for several years. Shady, grassed areas. Hot showers, flush toilets, some tank water, river water on tap.
