A place I stopped by on the way from Brisbane to Sydney. You either have to take a boat in the middle, or you have to turn around and come in. As it is a national park area, it is a place where you feel one with nature, and it would be a good place to come when you just want to relax. Reservations are not easy, so it is best to make them in advance.
Great campsite by the Myall lake, perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding or just a swim. The campground is divided in two zones, north and south. The north side is right by the lake water while the south part has some vegetation between sites and lake. Toilets are drop ones and there's no drinking water. Sadly no campfires allowed. Once again rude people with loud music or watching tv super loud ruins it for everyone's else.
Fantastic spot, well worth the visit. Lots of places to visit in local area.
I’ve been camping at mungo camp site for 13yrs , great boat ramp takes two at a time great price National Park looks after Park with great care .
Very nice, well-kept facility with eco-toilettes. Barbecue areas are free, you pay an $8 parking fee in coins or with a credit card at a machine. We paid $17 for camping for two adults and a motorhome. The view was great. Two hikes start from the site. We encountered a dingo on the Rainforest Trail. You have to book in advance on the national parks website.
Basic amenities - there’s just toilets but a lovely campsite with an amazing view !
Very good night with a view of the lake! Barbecue and dining area! Toilets that smell a little bad but very beautiful scenery
A nice quiet camp spot right on the lake in the National Park. Booking required online with National parks & probably in advance. There's no hot showers & only drop dunnies. No nearby facilities so need to be prepared & self sufficient.
