Really enjoyed staying here with my campervan! I was made to feel very welcome. It was only $30 for the night, which I thought was great value. The bathrooms were clean, there are powered sites, and having laundry facilities was really convenient. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re travelling with a campervan. I’d happily come back!
Stayed 2 nights in powered site with water. On site toilet and shower block, which was very clean. Also a dump point. Looks to be a new toilet block under construction. Great facilities for $30/night. Provided with a gate code in email booking confirmation. Book online via Showgrounds website. Very welcoming and friendly caretaker met us after entry and guided us to a site of our choice. Very enjoyable and comfortable stay.
Powered site, clean toilet and shower room. Quiet and not really noisy place good for staying a night for rest. 2025. Jan we paid 30.25AUD per night. Still affordable, the door needs a code to open, simple and friendly. Better to sign up a zoom online before you arrive.
I love this spot. The other caravan parks were full in peak holiday season and I rang the Showgrounds which went directly to the mobile number of a wonderful caretaker called Cheryl. Cheryl is a font of knowledge and gave us tips of the area. The Showgrounds is administered by the Wagga Wagga Show Society and most bookings are now done online but we managed to get hold of Cheryl and paid $30/night for a powered site. I love how country towns are turning their Showgrounds for campers. It’s a wide expanse and there are stables located at the grounds (which means flies but for some authentic equine feel this is excellent!). The toilets and showers are modern so it was great to have a nice hot shower after our journey. Not the best situated as nearby is the jail and train line, but overall atmosphere it was an insight into what made Wagga the country town. So I love it! Suitable for big rigs and it is a secure site so there’s a gate for a security code. Highly recommended but I’d understand if it’s not to everyone’s liking as what you see is what you get. No frills camping.
Nice place for 1 or 2 nights. Very clean amenities block. Try to find a spot away from the train tracks, so you'll have a quiet night. Booking in advance is recommended, we were lucky someone was on site to check us in without a reservation. $30 per night for a powered site
Toilet and shower block was very clean when we stayed. Would be improved by having hand drying facilities provided. Some train and traffic noise but not enough to disturb sleep. Ground is suffering from extended wet weather and is rather boggy and rutted in places…. Waiting for drier weather for repairs. Site is quite secure with entry and exit by code to open heavy sliding gate.
Nice flat large areas, clean but basic amenities, centre of town, train noise but at $20 per night, power, water & hot showers it's good value.Pet Friendly also.
Toilets disgusting trains go by
