Mixed with emotions with these campsites. Turned up and the fire pits are full of half burnt food and rubbish, people blasting music and shouting. Wouldn’t recommend if you like the ‘quieter life’. On the other hand the hand the toilets are pretty good and there’s plenty of spaces, with some having table/benches. There’s a river but it’s used for the hydro so water level changes massively, did have a cheeky dip though. Very slight phone signal on the lower half of the camp in specific areas.
Nice place. There are loos here. Don't need to be SC
It's "free" but you need to make a booking through the NSW national Park website, which costs $6. I went in the winter and was unable to book as it was "full" but there was plenty of spaces and no one was checking. I'd recommend going down the hill as the sites are a little more private, but stay up the hill if in an RV or caravan. No insects in winter but there were some cheeky possums. Nothing was dry so making a fire isn't easy. It's probably a fantastic campsite in the summer months but I imagine it would be very busy. Overall I liked it, but camping in winter is always a little miserable!!
Great spot stayed 3 nights coming back soon
Great spot, beautiful river with drinkable water. Kangaroos came up to 5 meters
Nice place but it can get very busy so claim your spot early
Great area, some areas will require 4wd if its been raining. Limited local firewood, byo recommended
Beautiful quiet area. Area for fire pits. Bring ur own water. Only river water. Long drops only.
Cool place.
