Drove all the way down just to be signed that you can't stay

We camped at warrego fosicking free camp 45.5k in on bitumen Warrego Rd then turn right nrly opposite refinery on dirt rd for 13.8k tiny sign saying fosicking not much there. Very windy early morning and vey hot . Dry river bed....

There is a sign saying camping not allowed. Very disappointed, we had to drive another hour to find a free camping.

Great place, easy parking and dogs allowed. Sign on entry forbids overnight stay so worth a day trip. Unfortunately we are not allowed to climb them but oh well. It’s home to some endangered mice too ??

28/02/2020 - as we got to Tennant Creek from south after 9pm, all the paid camp site not allowed us for check in after 7pm, so we have decided to take a chance to come to this site although we aware from the comments here said the site is closed. As we turning off from Stuart Highway onto the unseal road, there no such sign saying the site closed. So we proceed slowly as everything just dark along the patches of corrugated and smooth unseal road (about 3-4km). Surprisingly, the camp site is open and no one here. Yay for us. The site definitely suitable for self contained RV as both dry toilets here are locked and out service. Still can do camping for non-SC but just be mind to look after your own precious 'DNA'. A lot of flies during the day too when the day is hot.

The campsite is closed!!! Only a sign after we drove there, not at the beginning of the road.

Beautiful cultural spot for women business. We met the traditional rangers that informed us that it is now Day use only as both the toilets are broken. The seem to be broken for some time as the surrounding area has been used as a toilet ++. Sorry to say that some people did half the right thing and defaecated in a bag and then left it behind ?.We cleaned up 8 such bags and lots of toilet paper. We picked up lots of rubbish too. I took photos of the full bags. Now the spot is clean and hopefully people will respect the land and the traditional owners. Great sunset and sunrise colours.

Très bel endroit sacré pour les aborigènes au milieu de nul part, un peu de monde mais c'était convenable. Les toilettes était complet et sur la porte c'était écrit "pas de camping" juste un aire de jour. Mais je ne sais pas s'il y a quelqu'un qui vérifie.

Beautiful, quiet little spot. Plenty of space for a van. One drop toilet. Little walking track through the 'pebbles'. Stay on path though as this place is sacred.
