By far the worst run-down campground I have seen in Australia. No facilities, only toilets and a wash place. Broken pipes, remains of rusty what was probably a BBQ place, filled with garbage, spider webs, no kitchen option, as if the owners decided to make this place as non appealing as possible. Trucks run on the road all night, so noisy. Depressing dark bar. In fact, the opposite of what is described on the site. Avoid if you can.
Of all the campsites, this is the most minimalist! No shared kitchen, clean showers and toilets. So, few people, so quiet. I didn't even go to see the laundry or where they do the dishes because I'm not even sure there's a dedicated area! So I'm doing it tonight in the dark with cold water in the area near my spot where there's a good old big water tank, 2 sinks. Everything dating from the 60s. In short, not great. And the wifi only works at reception.
Still a very poorly managed caravan park, avoid it if you can
Caravan park ageing if not rotten. Showers and toilets, probably never cleaned. You don't even want to go inside given all the spider webs and disgusting insects. The swimming pool, like everything else, is ageing. The worst was yet to come, the person at reception was not friendly, not smiling, not sympathetic, not respectful. The only washing machine in the caravan park doesn't work, or rather doesn't wash, doesn't rinse... Having reported the problem to reception, but nothing happened.
We broke down near the Roadhouse. Fortunately for us , we got picked up the the resident tow truck driver. Spent 10 days waiting for repairs. The owners and staff were very helpful. The caravan park itself is basic with basic amenities. Nice cool pool though. Very dog friendly
Surprisingly affordable roadhouse: $12 for unpowered camping, $4 for a washing machine, $2 for single-use detergent. Reasonable prices on dinners, I got a delicious lamb shank for $26. Only one washing machine and no camp kitchen to my knowledge, but lots of space to pitch a tent, with flat ground and plenty of trees behind the buildings and away from the road. There’s even a small swimming pool and excellent free wifi!
Lovely roadhouse with a powered sit for two people for just $29!! Hot showers, toilets with toilet paper, a pool, and fuel available. Telstra phone service too.
Paid $149 for 1room for 2 people the worst experience. had issues at night a man came into my room twice mine you! Absolutely no consideration at all and had the same room key I think the staff reception must of stuffed up because apparently I wasn't on the records 😳 it was such a shit show absolutely disappointed and mad becausei had to wake up very early in the morning to drive to Queensland boarder. 3/04/2023
One night at powered site in a camper van at beautiful campground. Excellent Hot shower. All for AUS 30. What more can you you ask for? Excellent place.
Good for a night watching AFL elimination finals on TV in the bar
