Tried to book to stay here but the woman on the phone was very rude. She mistook me for wanting a room as opposed to a site for a camper van and she began saying stuff under her breath in frustration. So glad we got sorted elsewhere!!
$50 for an unpowered site, expensive, nothing special. Camp kitchen is far far away from some caravan sites, 10 mins walking. And the village is designed like a maze, not easy to go to places.
Toilets and staff are really good. BUT between A1 hwy, train line and near airport the road rail and air noise was impossible. P
Tidy site, very clean and spacious amenities. Highly recommended.
The only good thing was the toilets and showers. Otherwise long distances (e.g. to the kitchen), no signage, no soap and no sponge in the kitchen, bad WiFi and endless mosquitos.
Everything fitted. Only the WLAN was not very stable. You hardly hear the adjacent train. Sanitary facilities are new and clean.
Brilliant site, clean, tidy and well presented. Ok the Highway and rail traffic is close by, but it’s not the end of the world! Shower and laundry blocks are the best I’ve been in, and I’ve been on the road 6 months. Highly recommend ???
“Wow, thank you for your kind words. We are please to see you enjoyed our newly renovated amenities, we will see you next time you are in Rockhampton.”
Large park right next to the Bruce Highway. Very well organized and secure. Large facilities kept clean. After hours checking a bonus and staff has been helpful. Very noisy though, right next to Highway and rail line with 24h coal trains in the back.
“It is fantastic to hear that you enjoyed our 24 hour check in service, we know that everyone likes to travel at different times. We find that offering the 24 hour check in lets everyone enjoy their travelling day a little bit more, not having to rush to get onsite before closing time :)”
Bathrooms were really nice. There was just one kitchen area at the other side of the camp site, which was really unhandy.
“Glad to see you enjoyed our recently renovated bathrooms, sorry that we couldn't move you closer to the camp kitchen, next time please ask for a site closer to the camp kitchen.”
