31-05-25. ZN-459 Add to your bucket list of places to visit. Camp beside the Wetlands or choose a area secluded away from everyone. Lots of bird life, morning walks, bush walks. Hot Showers and flush toilets, drinking water available. Saturday night Camp Oven Dinners. Staff are all fantastic, Gail is a great host, friendly and always up for a chat. No need to book, just roll on in. A must for 3 or 4 nights, Highly recommend.
Recommended by friends - absolutely fabulous - stayed here on 2, 3 & 4 Aug - spotless dunnies & showers that are unisex - hot water via a Donkey - have not seen these in decades - great country music @ happy hour 3 days a week - hot artesian baths (went there every day) - there are heaps of level grassed sites around the lake - next time we will stay for a week.
A very relaxing place to spend some time. Even though it was busy there is plenty of space. Hot Springs were great. Road out got muddy after rain, only 4wds getting out.
Absolutely beautiful , definitely a must do on your travels .
We only stayed the one night as just travelling thought. #Great stop, artesian springs, clean amenities, they are unisex. Lovely staff. Will be coming back.
It is a nice place to stay, lovely helpful staff, no power and water hook up. Wood fired hot water for showers. Very clean unisex amenities but needs better lighting for nightime. Bird life has apparently dwindled from previous years so less than i thought it would be. With the price per night i thought it was the top end of what i would pay for what was offered, but we did enjoy our 3 night stay.
Great place, excellent for kids. Road was good going in. Bird life is amazing. Can only say good things about this place can't wait to go back.
Really nice place. Friendly and helpful staff, clean toilets and showers. Lots of birds around! Sulfur hotbath is really pleasant. Kitchen contains bbq! Recommended! All the water is from the well though, so smells a bit different.
Well it's great to be at Lara, So beautiful, tranquil, and peaceful. Road in was great for gravel and is receiving maintenance, no probs with our van! Enjoying the no gene policy as it is so peaceful without the noise for happy hour. We think the groundsman is great. Jo the owner visits customers and friends she has made over the years on her quad and I can say they are pleased of her visits, even if they are after dark, quads are a mode of transport on cattle stations in the outback.
What an absolutely smashing place to stay at $20 a couple per night. It's like an Oasis in the middle of the desert had a great time. Artesian drinking water is beautiful and amazing hot spring pool. There's also about a hundred species of birds.
