Great campsite near Thulimbah with plenty of farm jobs. We stayed for a month and paid $140 a week. There's a composting toilet, hot shower, and laundry facilities.
$175 a week for a powered site with treated bore water. That's apparently drinkable.Lovely manager Dale is super helpful. The place is clean and the gardens are well kept.
Friendly, green and clean. Recommend staying here. Great location.
Pros: great hot showers, bbq facilities, short drive from many farms (only reason to be in this area is farm work), large kitchen area with 12 gas rings. Beautiful sunset. The place is full of other working backpackers so good atmosphere. Cons: long drop toilets only - which smell as bad as the worst I have used in any national parks! I now instinctively breath through my mouth when entering. On warm windy days the well can leave the toilet and enter campsite :/ Although kitchen area is large, it’s very run down and other guests leave uncleaned utensils and food residue everywhere without regard for others and apparently without consequence. The shared fridges are too hot to preserve anything and constantly smell of rotting food and sour milk - food stored in these fridges will taste off. WiFi is basically useless anywhere other than on the office doorstep. Cost: Is it cheap? Kind of compared to staying on farms. In my opinion, £65 pppw for unpowered site is pricey considering the toilet is long drop and other facilities are poor. I’ve stayed in places for less with pool and toilets that don’t want to make you vomit every time you enter.
No power 65$ per week pp Power site 85$ per week pp Punk room 100$ per week pp Rooms 115$ per week pp
It’s true that it’s still a cheap campsite, $50 per week. But the services offer their limits. The toilets without water, its vomit, very often can clean and a strong and foul smell!!! The kitchen is the same! Infect with cockroach and mice. Showers are fine. There have been a lot of changes of managers, all equally incompetent! Because of its constant changes, I found myself unable to get my deposit back when I left. All this to say that it may be expensive but it's really borderline, people should review these hygiene standards!!!
85 per person per week. Campervan with electric
86 per week per person with power. 16 per night. There is no unpowered option(50 per week) any more.
It's a very cheap campground & perfect for backpacker who work in or around Stanthorpe! I wish I would known these before... One week costs $50 in a tent or campervan. You have shower rooms with hot water, a very good kitchen, a toilet without flush, you can play pool, wash your clothes & the owner is really really friendly! Such a nice place!
