It feels like parking on the street, there are only 8 spaces and we couldn't find any "hot showers".
This used to be a great spot with lots of places to camp. Now it’s been taken over by unfriendly permanents. We went around the corner to the country club where we were welcome. We also had a lovely meal putting money back into the town!
Now taken over with permanents and looking very unkempt . This used to be very popular for the weary travellers for overnite
We arrived at 5pm and it was full, so we parked along the swimming pool fence and it was all good. We spent just one night and left early in the morning.
There are only 8 sites.
Limited spaces especially if you turn up later in the evening like we did. Thats being said, there was parking on the road at the entrance (along fence of swimming pool) we were there for thr night so no issues. There is a picnic area and toilets. Note parking restrictions in the car park to swimming pool.
Gorgeous area with both full sun & shade spots to choose from. They have set up 4 spots with both a grassed & blue metal driveway type arrangement so you can park your big van in a clean dry spot & your car right next to it. Could take vans up to 25 feet easily. There's a big shaded spot beneath trees with a huge communal fire pit & chairs.. Free council bbq across the street. Tennis courts, pool, parks, bike track all metres away. General store, fuel, snacks, club, post office <100 metres away
We stay here for one night with a roof top tent and it was perfect! There are toilets, water, picnic tables and it's really quiet. There are just 8 spots, we arrived around 7pm and there were two spots left. Tent and swing are not allowed.
Very good for one night, the toilets are clean, on the other side of the road but it is not very busy. There is not much noise. On the other hand there is no shower!
Very good place, clean.
