Nice free campsite just off highway not far from Atherton

Not illegal! The police stopped right next to us, we got out of the car and they told us no problem, they were there for something else! The place is very simple and without facilities but absolutely calm, very few cars pass in front (even if it remains the road)

We stayed here for 1 night, easy enough to find. It was nice and cool, quiet and far enough from the road. No facilities but there are some friendly chickens around

Stayed here for a night; it’s on the right hand side heading towards Atherton; Telstra reception 4G; no facilities but good for an overnight stop.

Stayed here and it was quiet and no problem. Zero facilities. A few gravel heaps as site is probably a road maintenance gravel storage clearing. No bugs and quite a damp place. Elevation is about 1,100 metres, so quite cool at night. Was about 16 degrees Celsius at night in September. Has Optus and Telstra 4G signal. Very nice. I like ?

Unsure if this place is legal... No signs wether camping is allowed or not.

Great area albeit small. Far enough from road so quiet but still accessible and conveniently located. No facilities so SC only. Would spend night again.
