Excellent place to have a picnic, with covered tables, a large flat patch of grass, and a bathroom. The hike wasn’t super volcanic and the views were largely filtered by trees, but it was worth doing. The dirt road is mildly washboarded, not an issue if you’re in a car, but at times rough on a bicycle.
Quiet place with lots of kangaroos and a nice view of the green valley. Clean toilets and picnic tables in the shade. No drinking water. The crater itself was a little less volcanic than expected but the path of the walkaround is out of volcanic stone.
